This started life as an experiment to try and work out how the moving obstacles like the cars and the logs would work in a Frogger game on the 64. After that I decided to try and make it into the simplest of games. It's not trying to be a full on Frogger clone!
This was another experiment to test out various things, and a project I just got bored of in the end! Based rather too heavily on Arcadia (and meant in no way at all to try and compete with that classic on any level), just wanted to try out a few things with sprites and characters, some worked and some failed miserably! That's why it's on this page, because it's nothing more than "fluff" really!
I came across the competition and thought I'd enter. I used to dabble with the C64 coming on for 30 years ago, so I thought "why not?", and I ended making three little 4K games that I submitted.
This was the first effort for the competition. I was trying to think of an idea for a game, and then I saw on Bazza H's YouTube channel his comparison of Nifty Lifty, so that was the basis for the idea behind this game.
The second effort entered into the competition. Dean suggested the idea for this game. Try to navigate the mine field without getting blown up!
This started life as an experiment that turned into the third game I submitted to the competition. Nothing much to say really, other than you just have to keep jumping from platform to platform, collecting the diamonds, staying alive as long as possible!
The music was also an experiment using GoatTracker.
